InterMet is one of the world’s leading producers of upper-air meteorological systems.  InterMet Africa is involved in the development and manufacturing of surface and upper-air meteorological instrumentation.   Founded in the 1970s, the company’s core product line has been the systems required to make atmospheric observations using balloon-borne radiosondes.  

A continually growing range of radiosondes, ground receiving equipment and processing software has been developed to meet the various needs of civilian, military and research users.  

Recent close work with a local university has led to developments that have extended the company’s influence to include rugged, fully-automated, land-based weather stations.
